This is a beautiful spot from which to start hiking or biking into the Organ Mountains or along the foothills. There is an amazing new trail that heads north from Soledad to Dripping Springs Rd.

It's actually called Pastaggio's now, but the map doesn't update it. The best Italian TAKE-OUT food in town is right around the corner. Lorenzo's bread is the best! And his salads are so tasty!! Lots of pasta and pizza options. Go in to see an extended menu. You can now eat in and enjoy wine and beer there too.

Less than 1/4 mile away, La Concina is a great hole in the wall Mexican restaurant that stays busy. Try the Chile Relleno Burrito if you're feeling adventurous.

Yet another great Mexican food restaurant. You can't go wrong here, but I suggest the fish tacos. Wait, you also should try the tacos al carbon! Nevermind, everything is great!
