Fantastic Pub. It's a short car drive to Princetown but well worth it. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. They do pies that are infamous around here! Also princetown is a small town but don't be fooled- packed with history and legends of the local prison. Well worth a visit!

The Cornish is a lovely, newly refurbished Pub that has a great atmosphere and does amazing quality food. The food isn't your standard 'pub grub' but if you want something a little special, this is the place to go.

Parks & Nature
The Moors are superb and we have some lovely local spots including....
Pork Hill car park and view point (SX 531751) is on the Tavistock to Princetown road and is a great place for walking on Dartmoor, especially if you have a group of mixed abilities. There is a reasonably flat grassy area by the car park to amble around or else this three mile walk if you’re feeling fitter.
Brent Tor is one of the most impressive rock outcrops in Dartmoor. With St Michael’s Church at its top, it makes a distinctive and famous silhouette on the Dartmoor skyline.
And not forgetting, our family fave spot- Widgery cross. Set on the top of Brat Tor, a great river walk.

Tavistock Pannier Market has a great selection of 5 day traders who are always present in the market, these being mostly found around the perimeter of the market. In addition, many of the remaining stalls change throughout the week to reflect the different daily themes.
