This is an amazing place where dark Granite canyons meet amazing red Rock. It's surreal, in the middle of nowhere with a great car museum. The lodging is expensive but a day trip from our house for lunch and a visit to the car museum is well worth it. They have delicious cucumber martinis and I am not a martini drinker.

The lodging is expensive but a day trip from our house for lunch and a visit to the car museum is well worth it. They have delicious cucumber martinis and I am not a martini drinker.
Moab's only an hour and a half away. Arches National Park is so cool. If you have never been there, it would be a shame to be this close and not visit. Moab can be crowded and the lodging can be expensive. But you can do a day trip from our house if you aren't able to get accommodations there. It's a long day but well worth the trip.

Past powder horn downhill ski area is a great cross country, snowshoeing and snowmobiling large are on top of the table top mesa This is the largest table top mountain in North America and maybe even the world. There is a possibility that there are large table tops in Africa that have not been officially measured that could be just as big. This High Altitude table top mountain is much different than the Rocky Mountains. In the winter you could be skiing on 10 feet of snow while looking over the desert valley and book cliffs below that are completely free of snow. It's funky but cool.
