There is a nice park just around the corner with a pool, skate park, b'bques, tennis and play area. Live music starts on Fridays during the summer. A new disc frizbee course was just installed at the river walk. And for you railroad buffs the Museum is a must.

Lakes Basin area has great hiking trails
I'd advise you plan your hike in the mornings as there can be a 40 degree temperature change during the day in summer. Bring your suit if you like to swim. Plenty of lakes off the main road and on the hiking trails. Take the lakes basin road off hwy 89 just outside of Graeagle.... another fun place to visit!
