If you rented a car
If you rented a car, avoid parking inside the old San Juan since you need to be a resident with a legal permit to be able to do so. You may park in public parking lots, and get around walking from place to place; everything is pretty close. “La puntilla” parking lot is the best option since is close and it’s also cheap.
