Neighbourhoods
Golden Square Mile is one of the most high end neighbourhoods in Montreal, steps away from McGill Campus, St. Catherine Street full of shops, Crescent Street full of bars and restaurants and Museum of Fine Arts. Very safe throughout the day and night, and steps away from all the action downtown, as well as the access to Mont-Royal park on Peel st. There is a dog park on Dr. Penfield Avenue 3 blocks away. McGill campus is literally across the street. I loved living here for 5 years, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay.

This is one of my favourite bars. People are dressed well and the cocktails are fantastic. Try the bar snacks and their legendary fries.

Metro and Bus are the easiest and fastest transit options
The 144 bus that passes in front of this apartment will take you from one end of the city to the other. Take this bus from St. Denis where there are many great restaurants and cafes, all the way to Atwater where Atwater Market and the big shopping mall Place Alexis Nihon is located. The 144 bus stops at the Sherbrooke station on the Orange metro line, which gives you quick access to the metro network. The 144 bus also stops at Atwater metro station on the Green line. What’s even better is that you can walk down Peel street to Maisonneuve to have fast access to the Green metro line in 5 min!

Reserve Restaurants before you go
Montreal has the most number of restaurants per capita in North America; more than NY or LA! So you are guaranteed to have an incredible culinary experience here. Always make a reservation; walk-in to restaurants is tough to do and you will be asked to wait for an hour at least unless you’re going at a random time during the day. So, reserve, reserve, reserve! Especially for dinner. Many brunch/breakfast places don’t take reservations so you need to go early and grab a table! That’s the biggest exception to the rule.
