Very safe here. Very little crime.
Use Uber, Lyft or walk to downtown. Very lively scene and a great Saturday farmer's market in summer. There is music many nights in summer- Wednesday and Thursday typically. Also, there are nice trails to walk along river. One to search for close by is Newberry trail. There is a new Trestle bridge off Lawe st on the other side of the river. I also walk through Peabody Park- there is a ravine that leads you to a trail then you can meander back through a cute neighborhood via Nawada,
Wisconsin avenue is safe, but trashy. Not as exciting:)
I get groceries at Woodman's or Pick n Save.
