Good food, great view of Kayaköy Ghost Town. There's a lovely Boho vibe with market stalls selling hand made jewellery and crafts, crystals and curios. There are lots of unusual animals there too, peacocks, camels, along with horses, dogs, rabbits and more. In terms of food try the gözleme! Afiyet olsun

Just the most amazing food. The lovely people there are so friendly and professional. The food is from Gaziantep, generally considered the best Turkish cuisine. You have to go, it's brilliant.

A really beautiful seaside town which still retains its old fishing village charm, in some parts. Kordon is a great place for an evening stroll. Take a look at the boats and maybe try an ice cream, or just a çay.

Take a trip up this famous mountain and be prepared to be impressed. The views are stunning! Why not try the cable cars (teleferik) and see even more beautiful views. You might also fancy paragliding from the top down to the beach at Ölüdeniz! There's a restaurant on the mountain, but book ahead. There are also amazing shows on all summer do look out for what's on.

We had a wonderful day out at the Saklıkent kanyonu and park. The canyon itself is stunning! You can pay to enter and follow the walkway to the bottom of the canyon. The sounds of rushing water, the buzz of tourists and the other sounds of this beautiful natural spot are perfect. On hot sunny days, it is quite refreshing to sit on a rock with the soft cool mist of waters from the mountain. You are able to walk in the stream, but , beware, it is very cold! Further down the river, you can indulge in riding the rapids in a dinghy or rubber ring. There are plenty of choices of cafés, restaurants and büfe bars. There are market stalls and other fun things to do, such as a fish pedicure. Not for the ticklish!! All in all, this is a fabulous day out. Highly recommend!

There are so many things to do in Ölüdeniz. Sightseeing, beaches, swimming, boat tours, paragliding, cable car rides, restaurants and bars. İt's much more of a typical holidaymakers place, worth a visit, but bear in mind it can get very busy, especially in the evening.

İt's really safe, and there is waiter service for refreshments so it's very family friendly. There is a charge for cars as you enter, but you can stay all day. There's a fee to hire sun loungers too, but as it's a public beach, you are allowed to take your own deck chairs, there is plenty of space down at the far end of the beach. There are changing rooms, toilets, showers and a cafe.

This beautiful beach and the island are literally down the road from Kaya Cottage. You could even just hop in the dolmuş across the road from the cottage and be at the beach in 10 minutes. There are dun loungers for hire, but don't forget that we have some deck chairs, parasol and a picnic set at the cottage for you to use.

Rural, beautiful, historical. There's a mixture of locals who have lived here for generations as well as Turkish and foreign visitors.

Just down the road from Kaya Cottage. There's a lot of culture and history in this village made famous by Louis de Berniere's novel Birds Without Wings. İt's a truly special place.

You can hire a car from one of the companies at Dalaman airport, but there are a couple of local places in Kayaköy.

Dolmuş
There are dolmuş (minibüs taxi) every hour going to Fethiye passing through Hisarönü. İn the other direction, you can get all the way to Gemiler beach, St Nicholas Island. The dolmuş stop on request and you can stand at the çeşme or Skyline Son Market, very close to the cottage. Prices are extremely reasonable and it's good to mingle with the locals. Drivers are very friendly and helpful.
