If arriving/departing from Edinburgh Airport
For multiple travellers with luggage a taxi booking is best option. Using a local firm rather than an Airport Taxi firm is more cost effective. I can recommend Abbey Taxis (Dunfermline) who will do a round trip ideally with 24-48 hours notices, for 5 passengers at a cost of £55 GBP (compared to over £130 quoted for airport taxi)
Telephone: +44 (0) 1383 735555
They do not accept online booking requests
If you are here for a longer stay then car hire may be a better option. Parking space available.

Day trip to Edinburgh - train straight to the centre
Best way to get into and out of Edinburgh is by local train. Dalgety Bay station is 1 mile from the flat and takes around 30 mins costing £6-7 each way.
