There are generally many moto/car rental places on the island. You'll probably find availability throughout the summer season. But for peak season, July and August, just yo be on the safe side it's recommended that you pre-book your vehicle.

To get to our place: From the airport or the port, you can get the public bus to Fira and get off at Karterados-Zotos bus stop in Karterados village. Please tell the ticket inspector to call you when it's your stop. Then you check on your map for Angel Studios, it's opposite Milopetra bakery. Only 2mins walk away from Karterados-Zotos bus stop:)

From our place you can move around by public bus very easily. The bus stop in Karterados village with a frequent schedule to almost all destinations in Santorini is a 2mins walk from our place. You can check out the schedule of the busses at ktel-santorini. gr

1) Pick budget restaurants and taverns with good food from our guide. 2) Use the public bus for transportation 3) Mostly in Kamari Beach but also in Perivolos you can find beach bars and taverns that offer sun beds for free if you buy food or drinks from them. 4) Try our traditional Greek fast food, souvlaki /gyros, which is both cheap and delicious. 5) Local bakeries offer a variety of food and snacks and coffee in good prices.

If you have enough days in Santorini don't miss a boat trip around the volcano, hot springs, maybe with 'sunset on board', buffet, live saxophone music, glass bottom boats, catamaran cruises or sailboats.
