Rocky Mountain National Park is only 45 minutes from the Hilltop Hideaway. You’ll need a National Parks pass (sold daily, weekly, or annually) to access the park. Once inside, you have a million beautiful options.
Our favorite hikes are:
o Family Friendly: Bear Lake, Alberta Falls,
o Moderate: Gem Lake, Dream and Emerald Lake
o Hard: Twin Sisters, Sky Pond

Getting a beer at a local brewery
Colorado is known for delicious local beer! We suggest Verboten Brewery or Berthoud Brewing Company in Loveland although you really can't go wrong with any local brewery.

Bring layers and hiking shoes
Colorado weather can be hard to predict. It's sunny most of the time, but even if the sun it can get chilly in the mountains. Be sure to bring a few layers and some sturdy shoes for all of the hiking you'll be doing!
