Because the food is varied and very tasty not expensive and the coffee terrific. Best of all the staff are very pleasant. It is a family owned business and on Friday nights Ruth and her son Jacob cook the freshest fish and chips ever. Take a drink and avail yourself on one of her cane lounge chairs directly facing the magnificent waterway in front of you leading out the Barrier Reef. Watching the sunset there is an experience you must have- you really do feel like a millionaire when you are sitting there except you don't need the millions.

The staff are so super friendly everyone there smiles at you and the toasted sandwiches oozing with lots of tasty cheeze and ham if that's your poison. Slap up breakfasts big servings and a great spot to gather and watch the tourists and locals go by.

A nice cool spot on the hill where you can sit on the balcony and have a beautiful coffee and scones and cream or any number of tasty offerings. On Fridays they have an Indian night and once again staff are so very pleasant.

Of its fantastic location beachside and the amazing gnocchi they offer and the ambience of the place. They often have a themed night you would have to ask them. A lot of the locals hang out here for coffee and breakfast .

Of its location you hang out on a bar stool or in the dining area soaking in the visual delight of the Coral Sea seeing the yachts lazily bobbing about and dreaming of swimming out to one and sailing away . It dosent really matter where you dine out in Agnes or 170 the ambience of the place the palm trees the consistent warmth the town is so attractive the beaches and waves so easy to access and enjoy.

Great location right in the heart of Agnes Water and amazing pizza - my favourite greek lamb - mouth watering.
Another good spot for people watching.

The Agnes Tavern is amazing for all the diferent areas it has and it is big with heaps of parking. It has areas with televisions for the sports and outdoor dining and offers bands every now and then. Food good value and staff lovely.
I have to say all the places I have been in Agnes Water and 1770 so far have been terrific and I just havent got around to the others yet as only been here for 6 weeks.

Unique distillery in 1770 specializing in fruit liqueurs. John y the owner took the time to explain the the intrique process of producing this product. Thanks and hope all goes well with the business. John also owns and manages Mad Nursery with specatcular tropical plants for sale.

I love getting up around 7am going through the beautiful paperbark/rainforest at my back door, walking down to the patrolled beach putting my goggles on and having a swim. Then walking back all done in 45 minutes and then off to work. I love it
