Shopping
Gunwharf Quays is the Mecca of outlet shopping in Portsmouth. There are loads of shops here, anything from The White Company to All Saints to Ted Baker, Diesel and Michael Kors, whatever your fashion is, there is a shop for you. There is also a VUE Cinema, all the chain restaurants you could ever want like Nando’s and Wagamama, and it’s all located on Portsmouth Marina. Technically this is Portsmouth, but you’ve just a few minutes walk from Southsea, so totally worth a distraction. Plus the train arrives directly here from London in 90 minutes.

If you don’t fancy the shingles of Southsea beach, then you can relax around the beauty of selfies can you like, also known affectionately as Swan Lake, due to the plastic swans. There’s a kids play area, a little coffee shop and plenty of benches to relax and watch the world go by. Right next door is the Model Village and the Rose Gardens
