I would recommended taking a trip into the Town of Notre-Dame-de Pontmain. It has all the amenities.....gas, grocery, SAC, hardware store and a wonderful restaurant right on the water. Auberge Presqu'ile has great food, friendly service and live entrainment on the weekends.

This is a beautiful hiking trail that takes you past breathtaking waterfalls with opportunity to see great views along the way. It seems like a hidden gem about 30 minutes from the cottage. I would highly recommend this walk.
