I recommend going to millennium park and walking around on SouthMichigan Ave . and checking out the amazing scenery. Grant park has festivals and live music with dance lessons and there’s ice skating in the winter. And by the way

I cannot recommend this museum campus enough! It has the Adler planetarium, the field museum of natural history, and the shed aquarium all within walking distance of each other and you can then take a water taxi over to Navy pier to see a great view of the skyline.

From a Chicagoan
The neighborhood and it’s surrounding areas are very pedestrian and bike friendly. If you are going to a large/busy event downtown it might be wise to consider public transportation. otherwise parking even in the downtown area is relatively plentiful and easy. I recommend downloading the parking app ( ParkChicago) which is how you pay all of the parking meters throughout Chicago which allows you extend your metered time from wherever you go.

Must see!
While in Chicago, I always recommend navy pier, the museum campus, Art Institute, the Sears tower and definitely just visit the lakefront and go for a bike ride.!If you want something a little less touristy I highly recommend a few of the following places, the Morton Arboretum, the Garfield Park Conservatory, and of course the Botanic gardens.
