Hiking Trout River!

The picture says it all! 2.3 km with return! First you Go up a bunch of stairs to enjoy a view of the water front, then continue your hike out along the edge of the cliffs! Usually the hillside is filled with wandering local sheep! Most breathtaking place to catch a sunset.

BEAUTIFUL 17 km (with return) hike! It is a Parks Canada trail that will lead you through forest, onto sandy beaches, over barren lands, and into the Tableland Mountains! View the fjords right from the trail!

Come see our sea stack aptly named the old man, it sits about 500 feet above the town, and really just goes to show how high sea levels were a very long time ago! Continue on towards the ocean and visit our Light station, Great views of birds, the town, the harbour and a unique look at the tablelands and Elephants Head Mountain!

Passing the Time in Trout River

Its live music! No, really, that's what it is called! The show happens every Tuesday, during July & August, @7:30pm at the Interpretation building right on the waterfront. Cant miss it!
