LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Not only is it a short walk from our house, but the food is fabulous, fresh, healthy, the owner and employees are top notch in customer service and very friendly, and the restaurant supports local artists and your furry friends out on the patio with a bowl of water and a milk bone! The restaurant is closed on Mon and Tues but as busy as they get on other days, they deserve a break!
Have tried most everything on their menu and have never been disappointed!

My favorite thing to do here is just order a salad and then a variety of appetizers to share and sample in the group until they discover their favorites. My favorites are the fried pickle spears with sriracha aioli. Yum! They match perfectly with an iced cold beer from their selection on tap while sitting outside during the nice weather on their large patio. If you're lucky, they have live music and even open mic night on their outdoor stage. Love the atmosphere and wait staff is friendly, too!

This is a delicious, Italian American restaurant in the Uptown Arts/Historic District of Michigan City open for lunch, dinner and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. The artichoke piccata appetizer is amazing and make sure to get their bread to sop up the extra delicious sauce!

This zoo can be walked to from either of our short-term rental houses to enjoy visiting the animals, enjoying the outdoors, etc..It is not a very big zoo, so it's very manageable for most activity levels and can bring a wagon from our house to pull the kiddos. This is a good option for those that don't want or not able to walk to our nearby beaches. This area also has lifeguards on duty during the Summer season, access to our pier for fishing or to walk to our beautiful, historic lighthouse at the end of the pier!
