A beautiful, historic little mining town on the edge of the Escarpment.

Believed to be the oldest megalithic stone calendar in the world, pre dating Stonehenge and the pyramids of Giza by about 200 000 years, and referred to by African Elders as “Inzalo y’Langa (The birth place of the sun), keeping in mind of course, that our province is named Mpumalanga, meaning “ where the sun rises”.

* The famous Kaapsehoop wild horses, approximately 200 wild horses a joy the freedom of roaming around Kaapsehoop. The area is a protected National Heritage site and is a haven for endemic birds including breeding pairs of the rare and endangered Blue Swallow.
