Tsunami Sirens
The town of Gold Beach uses the tsunami sirens to call in emergency services and personnel. If you hear the siren three times, they are calling for the volunteer fire department and other emergency situations. If you hear the siren 11 times in a row, that is an actual tsunami warning and is best to seek high ground.
Additionally, the town of Gold Beach tests the siren the first Wednesday of every month at 11am.
