Newquay is about 45 mins drive from here if you fancy a little trip. It’s a crazy town, awesome surf across its 11 beautiful sandy beaches with very blue sea. There is a great place called the Lewinnick Lodge right out towards the end of Pentire headland on the south end of Fistral beach. It’s a great place for lovely food with awesome views.
Both the Headland hotel (north end of Fistral beach) and the Watergate bay hotel do amazing Cornish cream teas.

Newquay
Newquay is about 45 mins drive from here if you fancy a little trip. It’s a crazy town, awesome surf across its 11 beautiful sandy beaches with very blue sea. The camel trail is a cycle path that runs down alongside the camel estuary. A great little section is if you drive to Wadebridge and there is a car park there next to Lidl. You can hire bikes and cycle down to Padstow which takes about an hour. It’s a nice little place to have a mooch about and there are plenty of places to eat from pasty shops to excellent restaurants. Many have great menu du jour offers in the winter.

There is plenty of parking in Padstow, or you can drive to Rock and right at the end of the village there is a little car park and you can get the little river boat over the estuary to Padstow. Again if you like your food there are some fab places to eat, Rick Steins very famous seafood restaurant, Paul Ainsworth at number 6 and funky little places like ‘prawn on the lawn’ which is a cool little fish tapas place, to name just a few.
Nathan Outlaw also has a couple of places between here and Padstow if you fancy a 2 michelin star meal.
