Neighborhoods
Logan Square/Avondale developed as a working-class community between 1890 and 1920 as industry rose up along the rail lines and the river. By 1920, the population exceeded 38,000. More than one-quarter of these residents were foreign-born, mostly Germans along with some Swedes and Austrians. By 1930 Poles constituted 33 percent of the population of 48,000. Poles remained the dominant ethnic group until 1980, but by 1990 Hispanics accounted for 37 percent of the total population.
With easy access to downtown, historic architecture, picturesque green belt boulevards, multi-cultural heritage, and relatively affordable rents, Logandale today is a magnet for young professionals, artists, up-and-coming restauranteurs and families. It is incredibly vibrant with endless options for food, drink, entertainment. From all of us in Logandale, welcome to the neighborhood!

My favorite club in the West Loop - usually you need to pay the bouncer to get upstairs which is where you want to be. Less pretentious than other clubs but still has upscale clientele. Very crowded and fun, if this is your scene.
