Food scene

Originally opened as an upbeat lounge, DMC has pivoted to a fully Mediterranean restaurant with lounge seating and an outdoor terrace. Definitely a different experience than you'll find anywhere else in Austin - more in line with an NYC or LA lounge experience. Food is great, the cocktails are good, and the vibe/energy is really good. It is 21+ though, not a great fit for families or people looking for a traditional dining experience as the tables are low and the seating is couches.

A new restaurant for town, upscale and trendy sushi and japanese food with european techniques. Think a scaled down version of Tao/Yellowtail/Buddakan or similar places. Its definitely a scene and can be loud if it's busy, not the best place for a full family dinner but great for groups looking for a scene.

Widely regarded as the best BBQ in Austin, people line up for hours (for years) every day just to get their Franklin's fix. Make sure to check their website for COVID updates.

By far one of the best restaurants in Austin. Great Sushi and fantastic choices of other options. Very knowledgeable staff, great hospitality, and our personal favorite in Austin.

Doggos

A great place to take your pup! Its an off-leash, fenced-in dog park with on-duty "bark rangers" who monitor all the pups and make sure everyone is behaving. You have to be there at all times, but you can get beverages inside, or can take a break and go outside the fence for food. We've taken our dog there many times and its always great.
