Floating the Flathead River is a great experience! Check with Cloud 9 rentals in Columbia Falls for rentals and river conditions. Always wear a life jacket!

We are a 20-30 minute drive from the entrance to West Glacier. We suggest you check their website frequently for road updates, ticketing system updates, trailhead closures, etc. We personally do not stay apprised to park conditions during the summer so we are unable to answer many questions.
We do suggest hiking to Avalanche Lake (easy hike) and driving up Going To The Sun Road if it's open. All of our rentals have community bear spray provided and it's strongly suggested that you carry it at all times, even in the winter, when out in the forests.
Hidden Lake is at the pass of GTTSR and well worth the short but steep hike in. You will see lots of mountain goats, keep in mind they are still wild animals. Don't feed them or pet them, don't be THAT tourist ;-)
There are too many hikes of varying levels to list so make sure you do your research!
