Epic views of the tides crossing, bald eagles swooping past, cute gift shop for local treasures and best of all you can tour the lighthouse & go to the very top! if Donna is working hopefully you can spend some time with her She is very knowledgeable of the history & such a wonderful person. Tell her Roxanne sent you. :) They have a really fun ice cream shop there as well for a sweet treat! A must-see and only a 10-15 minute drive from the cottage.

Shopping for souvenirs, cozy PEI campfire sweaters, treats, and great restaurants... Peakes at the harbour in downtown Charlottetown is a must. The traffic in Ch'town can be awful. PRO TIP: park in the lot by Receiver Coffee it's a bit easier.

Located on Covehead Wharf (this is the best location!) it's gorgeous at sunset with the deck overlooking the fishing boats and the Covehead Harbour bridge. The lighthouse is located across the road so after you have a delicious fresh seafood dinner you can check out the sunset on the beach. Just amazing!!
It's a busy & popular location so please be prepared for a line-up but they move fast and have the best service!

Best Beaches Around
There are many beautiful beaches along the coast of PEI. These are a few of my all time favourites and ones that I'm familiar with. Each one has something special to offer.
This is a gem of the eastern part of the Island! A must see at least once. It does get very busy with parking and there is a bit of a walk down-hill to the beach & wharf so depending on your mobility you should keep this in mind. However, there is the Fisheries Museum located just off the parking lot, a viewing area, bathrooms, take-out restaurant & a few gift shops. On the walk down to the beach, there is a children's play area & covered shaded areas with picnic tables. It's very exciting to see people of all ages jumping off the bridge & wharf into the run. Once you cross the bridge, check out the singing sands. The beach is gorgeous and views are phenomenal.
