Cathedral Falls
This place is less than 15 minutes away from the apartment.
This is another 15 to 20 minutes down the road from Cathedral Falls. You will see the New River snaking it’s way through the mountains. If you hit it right you might get to see a train comb the edge of the river as it winds its way across an old bridge crossing the river. I’ve rarely been to Hawks Nest but what I did not see Hawks flying above!

This is a state park on your way to Cathedral Falls on the right about 8 miles away from the apartment. Our guests have suggested adding this. Depending when you are there the falls are beautiful. Boats are put in here. The building is a power plant.
