A little bit of a drive and down 8 miles of gravel road but the place is absolutely enchanting. Fern Canyon is only part of the destination. Spectacular wild beaches with miles and miles of exploring and hiking make for a real nice outdoor adventure day trip.

A nice little hike on an old abandoned gravel road grade to a beautiful secluded hidden beach. Fantastic views along the hike. Try and time it around low tide for optimal beach and tidal exploring.

Take the road less traveled (dirt) through the Redwoods. Stunning up close and personal drive through the giant Redwoods with ability to pull off often and access many secret trails. Road can close occasionally due to deteriorating conditions in extreme weather but they always sign it when that happens.
