Adventure
There are two geothermal hot springs in Steamboat. Of the two, choose Strawberry park for it's immersive nature experience, the natural rock pools and sandy gravel bottoms. $15 cash only to get in, 4WD or AWD required, clothing optional after dark.

Driving vs. Public Transportation
If you're driving: There is normally plenty of parking along the city streets, but if you can't find a spot, try the parking lot at 8th and Oak, or at 7th and Yampa.
Public Transportation: Steamboat Springs Transit is our local bus service, and has their own webpage with detailed information on each of the the different lines. With that said, I recommend using a ride share app or our local taxi service, Go Alpine. This is because the Yellow line, which services our neighborhood, only comes once an hour and does not operate late at night.

Walking to Downtown
Distance: 1 mile
Elevation of the House: 6930 ft.
Elevation of Downtown: 6720 ft.
Change in Elevation: 210 ft.
Directions: At the end of the driveway, look across the street and slightly left. Take the walking path straight between the houses, then continue left in the downhill direction. Continue straight across the street onto the city maintained sidewalk, which eventually widens into the Old Fish Creek Falls Rd. That road dead-ends at Old Town Hot Springs, the marker for the downtown area. Walk to the right along the sidewalk and you find plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants close by.

Yampa Street
Lots of folks get drawn into the scene on Lincoln Ave. (also US Highway 40) right through the center of town. But, west of Lincoln is Yampa Street, which is full of countless bars and restaurants.
