This is where you will find most of the bars and restaurants in Torrox. The two that we favour are, Bar Aries very reasonable prices with friendly service, they do a very good paella but do need 40 minutes notice. We also very much favour La Casa restaurant English run with very good food at middle prices, well worth a visit.

The peaks of the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Mountains form the natural frontier between the provinces of Malaga and Granada. The Tejeda and Almijara Mountains are on the Malaga side, in the heart of the Axarquía region. Alhama is in the westernmost part of the province of Granada. Tejeda Peak reaches 2,065 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast and adjacent mountain ranges. It is popular with hikers and mountaineers. These mountains are viewed from our Terrace.

La Herradura is considered amongst the three best diving destinations in Spain, but it is also known in the international diving world because of its great variety of sea slugs (nudibranchs) which are marine snails without shells with beautiful colours. La Herradura is one of the ten best places in the world to find them. Many underwater photographers love them and for this reason it is no surprise that the village hosts various underwater photography championships this year. Last June the Andalusia submarine photography championship took place in La Herradura, and in October the village welcomes the European and the National championships of underwater video and photography.

Sightseeing
Competa is about 25 minute drive up the A7207 mountain road. Lots of busy bars and restaurants and typical steep narrow pueblo streets. There is a good market on Saturdays.

This is where you will find the famous Nerja Caves. The enormity and beauty of these caves will amaze you, but this is not for everyone as some may have issues with this environment, having said that a visit is a must if you have time
