Bars
Dubuque may have more bars per capita than churches. And we have a steeple on every corner.
Wicked dame is a newer wine bar that also has a great cocktail menu. The owner Kim is amazing and has hired a great staff. If Nick is working, he also does the Airbnb cleaning so complain your pillows needed some extra fluffing (to be fair I did purchase the pillows, so take partial responsibility :) you may even get a little taller pour.

Great burgers and scoops. It’s a great place to look at taxidermy animals while you eat some chips and grab a bag of chips. It was featured in American Airlines magazine as one of the coolest local bars.

A karaoke bar that peaks after midnight (I’m not sure if I have ever been there before midnight). But that may be due to my lack of pitch/tone/musical ability. Awesome for groups that have at least one good singer.

They have a pool table, outside patio, and juke box. A dive bar ( and I mean that in the best way, low key and a great place to catch up chatting. They do have a frozen pizza oven if you are drinking and don’t want to leave to get something to eat. The owner Scott is a great guy and did the remodel of each place. If it’s late he may even make your drink a little stronger if you let him know your at one of the Airbnb’s he remodeled. If it’s even later it may just be a little stronger.

My favorite bar when I studied at Loras. I still get back there to visit with the bartenders, Nubs it my favorite. They do have a great menu, but I usually went there for the drinks.
