Food scene
Star may be your best option for breakfast as it’s close to the house.
It provides great food and a wonderful selection of teas: I’m sure it has good coffee to (but I don’t drink coffee so can’t vouch first hand for that). There’s always a friendly welcome and although the road is busy it is on the corner so you can sit outside and e joy; there are blankets for the colder periods

Love their food. They discount it all at the end of the day. It’s located Centre of town close to colleges and market square.

I’ve put Market Square in the food category because if you are a budget traveller or you just like to choose from a selection imof foods from around the world, freshly prepared by local people; then this is the place for you to buy it.
I find it a particularly place to go for lunch.
Bit cold in winter!

Home made Ice cream not to miss. Huge vegan selection (you’d never know). Gluten free cones also available. Don’t miss the little 1950s booth you can enjoy your ice cream in.

Pop in to this unusual historic church on your way through to the city centre or to kings college. It is 1 of just 4 medieval round churches still functioning in England.

You must see this bridge. The legend is it was originally constructed without using nails but students one night dismantled it and then couldn’t put it back together. Most likely this is untrue but it’s a great story.

I love walking here - cycle to Newnham and leave the bikes - then walk along the river to the tea rooms for tea or lunch. Plenty of history and the Orchard is enchanting.
