UNESCO World Heritage Site. Avebury stone circle is great for a walk through history, very atmospheric. A must see. (I prefer it to the more touristy -and expensive- Stonehenge)

Woodhenge itself is interesting - but you can walk from here up to the cursus which runs above Stonehenge and get (what I consider) the best views of the Stonehenge landscape - for free!

Less than half a mile form Stonehenge - Durrington walls could be the 'builder's yard' for Stonehenge or maybe even the start of the funereal journey from the River Avon to Stonehenge. Excavations this year may reveal more. It's worth going to see!
