Favourite Trinity / North coast haunts
Slightly less well-known haunts which a lot of tourists don’t find...
A few minutes drive from our house. They don’t have a licence so you can take your own alcohol and they will provide glasses and open the bottle for you. Breakfast in the sunshine is lovely, they serve great salads and sandwiches for lunch, and Thai food in the evening.

On the other side of Trinity, this is the closest we have to an English pub in Jersey. Lovely atmosphere (especially downstairs) with several different eating areas. The garden area allows you to experience the beautiful Rozel Valley and it’s picturesque gardens.

We often walk here for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. Set on a slipway in Bouley Bay, the friendly Mary and her staff will chat away and make you feel at home while serving snacks. Better to go before 2pm as after that the sun disappears and it can be cool. There is some under cover seating.

Located in picturesque Rozel Valley, this 18th century-style hotel offers lunch and dinner in their dining room and conservatory and scrumptious teas in their lounge or al fresco. Here you can see the lovely gardens designed by Samuel Curtis, a Victorian horticulturalist which were recently brought back to life. There are quite a few red squirrels too!

We love it here, the staff are so friendly and nice. There is a lovely view over St Aubin Bay. You can sit inside or outside. They are open nearly all year and there is a very efficient fire plus blankets for colder days. The food is very good and we can recommend their rosé! Great location for the Battle Flowers and Battle of Britain. Booking essential for those days.

Gourmet food that isn’t too rich. We’ve never had a bad meal here, and the service is good too. In the summer you can sit on the balcony for a brilliant view over the sea and Gorey Castle
