Albany was the last point of contact our soldiers had with Australia before they headed to Egypt to train for the Great War in Galipoli, Turkey. From the grounds and within the ANZAC Centre you can see King George Sound where the flotilla left our shores.

Middleton Beach is world famous. It has gorgeous white sand and clear water. The waves aren't too big on this side but if you are keen to surf, then head out Frenchman's Bay Road where you will find ample beaches and large waves.
