Lovely short walks, wilderness cycle trail, beach, lakes, rivers, historic swimming pool, history, birds....what more do you need.
Stars. With very little light pollution Kumara has great star gazing, head upto the cemetery or wander along Greenstone Road.
Glow worms. Free to see around the caves at the back of the hotel. Just follow the signs, keep left of the cabins and the track will take you there. Take a torch and turn off to see them.
