A local spot to pan for gold (get your equipment and permit at High Alpine Sports in town) or to catch some big trout. You can fly fish or use the ole hot dog on a hook trick. People pull hogs out of here.

Great hike with some amazing views and terrains. One of our favorites. The actual limber pines are amazing trees that have adapted to live in an incredibly harsh environment. Check'em out.

Strenuous but beautiful hike. About 5 miles from trailhead to peak and about 1,500 ft of vertical climb. Trailhead is in the neighborhood at the top of Mountain View Drive.
