  • Everything coffee - English Tours
You will learn in a small setting each step of coffee processing (picking, de-pulping, drying, dehusking, sizing, roasting and brewing.) (The hands-on picking and de-pulping are during our harvest time.) We do not use industrial machines, you will get to actually use traditional and small scale tools to process micro-lots of coffee. You will get to roast your own coffee and try a variety of ways of brewing it to find your ideal, perfect cup of coffee. In the end, you will get to drink coffee brewed in a variety of ways. **Geisha coffee tasting is included too!** Other things to note Our tour experience is set up to be kid-friendly and there are places to sit, so you do not have to stand the entire time. There is a little walking involved on gravel paths and uneven ground.

  • Jungle hike & Embera indian lifestyle
I will pick you up at your accommodation in Panama City or meeting point if desired and head to the Chagres National Park. Once at the port by the Chagres River, the friendly Embera villagers will take us in a traditional boat by this river, the main source of water for the Panama Canal. We will leave the boat at one shore of the river where we will the hike through a trail in real jungle, this is walking over dirt and/or mud crossing a creek several times to a hidden and pristine waterfall where we will swim in shallow and crystal clear water, then we will hike by the same trail back to the boat and head to the village where you will be welcomed by the Embera community. There, we will have fruits and lunch while the nocó (chief) share with us about their way of life inside a traditional huts without walls to allow air circulation. This time is complemented by a performance of their traditional music and dance. Finally, we will go back to the port and then rest in the car while you enjoy the way back to your accomodation in Panama City. Something to note: The trail is in the jungle (as is) so this experience might be challenging o not suitable for people with reduced mobility however I had people with knee surgeries completing the hike so we can do it together!
