This place is a craft mocktail and cocktail bar. Started by a teacher couple who still work there. They specialize in use of bitters, and I have learned much about the 500+ varieties they have. This is not a food place, there are several restaurrants within a 3-5 minute walk from Venas.

Sightseeing
Quick walking distance from the apartment, the Prom provides the best view in the city. In warm weather, people sit out on the sloped lawn, picnic, and enjoy the view. At the base, there is a small local beach.

Essentials
Its really a convenience store, with groceries and a grill for prepared food - they have the BEST vegetarian burgers, made locally here in Maine. The prepared food is generally good - not gourmet.

4 minute drive down the Hill to Commercial Street. This is at "ground zero" of the Old Port, which generally offers little to no parking. There is a free lot for those going to DeMillos. Although this is a tourist trap, it's also a local trap! The food is generally good, lots of seafood, they have a large bar, and in good weather they have a good upper outdoor deck and a better side deck off the bar. It's right on the marina/water. I go here in summer if I want to drive down.
If you take an Uber/Lyfte, you will find DOZENS of good restaurants in the Old Port. Look at Yelp or local weeklies.
