A very “Cypriot” taverna in Paralimni, that, despite being a bit too big and busy it serves quite good food.

A traditional taverna in Sotira village in an old establishment. The Cypriot stone used to build it, the traditional arcs, the large garden and of course, the fantastic food make Mousikos a must-visit.

Even though its menu includes a selection of international meat dishes, pasta and even pizza, Kalamies is a seafood restaurant.

Very good Greek restaurant in the middle of the Hotels Avenue in Protaras, offering traditional Greek dishes to share. The place itself is casual, loud, busy and quite hip even though it is in the very center of a touristic street. The food is very good with fresh ingredients, good meat (especially the slow cooked lamp), at relatively good prices. One can spend hours looking at the tourists go by over some ouzo and some “meze”. Be prepared to wait for both a table, and your food as all good things come with a cost!

Everything Else

Having opened up last summer, if you’re looking for somewhere to just kick back and relax as the waves softly lap up against the shore, then the gorgeous Levels Beach Bar in Ayia Napa is the place to be! Housed within the grounds of the Asterias Beach Hotel, and set on part of the sweeping and rather picture perfect Makronissos Bay, the great thing here is that you are literally right on the beach, with cushy seats and low tables giving you the chance to feel comfy as you wash that stress away while sipping on a cool drink of your choice.

Drinks & Nightlife

Probably the best lounge bar/café in the area of Famagusta (and even the entire island). As the name would suggest it is right on the cliff above Konnos Bay, and with the white and blue color prevailing, the comfortable bamboo chairs, the fantastic cocktails and the great view it is definitely a must at least for a drink. The best time to go is around 7pm before the sun goes down, which is also the most popular time, so going as early as possible is advisable.

Far from the hustle and bustle of central Ayia Napa, the area’s National Park is a gorgeous natural haven, attracting visitors keen to take a peak at the area’s spectacular sea caves, with the rocky headland laced with sandy coves that really are the things that dreams are made of. But how to make the most of everything that the unspoilt park has to offer? Great for the ones who don’t like a lot of people and don’t care a lot about facilities. No food or bathrooms (even though one can use the hotel facilities), a van comes regularly for soft drinks and beers.
