So I considered not posting this beach because its my favorite surfing spot for summer. White sand beach with long walks in either direction. If you head south you can walk up to the Black Point Inn and have a drink, or lunch on the beautiful deck. Make sure you bring your shoes!

The artist Winslow Homer created many beautiful Maine landscape paintings depicting the raw ocean and its beauty. Homers works are truly a gem to see. His inspiration was Prouts Neck, where The Black Point Inn (established 1878) is located.
We love to take a walk there from Scarborough Beach state park and have a drink, lunch, or both. This is truly a hidden gem. After lunch/brunch you may want to take the cliff walk around Prout's Neck. Gorgeous scenery.
