Catskill Chocolate Co. offers beautifully hand-made, delicious and creative chocolates plus ice cream, pastries and an espresso machine all in a gorgeous space. What more could you want? Try a few assorted truffles over a cappuccino on your way in or out of town (it’s the last storefront on the top side of Main Street).

The views from the house are breathtaking, with a panorama of the highest peaks of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River in the forefront. There are hiking trails, house tours and views galore. Wear your walking shoes and do not miss, weather permitting.

KTD is an active Tibetan Buddhist monastery associated with the Karma Kagyu lineage. The property is home to active monastics and also offers layperson retreats. Depending on the event schedule, visitors are often able to tour the grounds and visit the temple, which is absolutely awe-inspiring. It’s a beautiful drive and well worth the 30-minute trip from the house. We highly recommend planning for a visit - plus it’s only about 5-10 minutes from to Woodstock so go have lunch in town afterwards.

Depending on the event schedule, visitors are often able to tour the grounds and visit the temple, which is absolutely awe-inspiring. Hudson River Skywalk
27-16 New York 23Kaaterskill Clove is a deep gorge, or valley, 20 minutes from the house. The clove was formed by Kaaterskill Creek, a tributary of Catskill Creek rising west of North Mountain, and is estimated by geologists to be as much as 1 million years old! Kaaterskill High Peak and Roundtop Mountain rise to the south of the gorge, while South Mountain is to its north. This makes the gorge as deep as 2,500 feet in places.

Kaaterskill Clove is a deep gorge, or valley, 20 minutes from the house. Our homegrown produce, especially our tomatoes and sweet corn are famous throughout the area. The produce is grown on 800 acres of our family farm, which is located in the Hudson Valley and then delivered fresh daily to our store. The strawberries raspberries and apples are grown on our farm in Scotia, while many local farmers deliver other Hudson Valley fruits to our location.

Today, the city boasts dozens of art galleries along with music venues, performance spaces, and shops offering makers’ wares and carefully curated design collections. Together with the city’s antiques dealers, this makes Hudson an art lover’s and browser’s paradise.
