Just about a block off North beach proper, this family run seemingly hole in the wall Italian restaurant is a delicious find. I can’t reneged who recommended trying this place years ago, and we are all still happy we tried it ( and keep the tradition going).

My first 1st roommate turned me in to this spot when I lived in the Avenues of the Richmond District way back when. This family friendly spot with jukeboxes at the booths has indoor and outdoor dining these days. If you are lucky, they have cheesecake in stock. While parking can be tight, loops around a few block and you will likely get lucky ( especially in Geary). Limited vegan options ( salad and side of cooked veggies ) Call head for takeout.
