Sightseeing
The Buntzen Lake Recreation Area, located just north of Anmore and a 45 minute drive east of Vancouver, is a nature lover’s paradise. Buntzen Lake is flanked by Eagle Ridge/Mountain (1,240 m) to the east and Buntzen Ridge (560 m) to the west. Indian Arm Provincial Park and Belcarra Regional Park make up a large portion of the surrounding hiking trails, which are suited for all levels of experience and physical abilities.

This is a beautiful park for year round walks. Accessible for all ages and abilities. The extensive light display in the winter is amazing.

Very well maintained, any attire and shoes is fine. Broken into 4 sections so you can do a little or a lot. About 6,000 steps to the top and back. Mostly stairs, pavement or gravel path. Nothing steep but a good workout if you go at a good pace. Nice view from the top as well.

It is hard to imagine when Coquitlam Centre opened its doors in 1979, that it was surrounded by brush and trees with only a few houses nearby. Now, it is at the heart of the Tri-Cities and only a 3 minute drive away from our suite. Coquitlam Centre features over 910,000 square feet of retail space including large chains such as Hudson’s Bay, Apple Store, T&T Supermarket, Best Buy, H&M, and Sephora. They also offer in-centre services such as wheelchair and walker loans, free stroller rentals, vehicle jump starts, emergency baby supplies, and a lost and found.

Pinetree Village features over 20 shops and restaurants including Save-On-Foods, Chapters, Starbucks, The Keg Restaurant and Vancity.
Situated in the heart of the vibrant Tri-City community at the gateway to Port Coquitlam, Pinetree Village is conveniently located at the junction of Lougheed Highway and Pinetree Way.
With approximately 188,335 square feet of retail space located on one outdoor level, Pinetree Village offers a unique and convenient shopping experience to all its customers.

- You can get a monthly pass from 7-eleven or at the sky train station.
- You can get a card that you load money onto to use in buses and skytrains.
- You can also pay at the Skytrain Station. For buses, you need change.
