Beautiful scenic views of the city!

Queen Elizabeth Park is a 5 minute drive from our home. As the highest point in Vancouver, the top of Queen Elizabeth Park—where you’ll find the park plaza and the Bloedel Floral Conservatory—boasts some of the best panoramic views imaginable. There are also two Quarry Gardens at the park, both so lovingly planned that they are picture-perfect all year round. Seasons in the Park Restaurant is also located at the park where you can relax and dine, while capturing the views of the city.

This would be a full day adventure - A 30-60 minute drive to Grouse Mountain, where you can take the gondola up and explore the mountain area and scenic views. I recommend going to Grouse and Capilano Suspension Bridge the same day if you want to do both attractions.

Sightseeing

Another half day trip to the North Shore that can take you to Capilano Suspension Bridge. Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses to towering evergreens, cedar-scented rainforest air and Treetops Adventure, 7 suspended footbridges offering views 110 feet above the forest floor. Cliffwalk follows a granite precipice along Capilano River with a labyrinth-like series of narrow cantilevered bridges, stairs and platforms and only 16 anchor points in the cliff supporting the structure I recommend going to Grouse and Capilano Suspension Bridge the same day if you want to do both attractions.

Fraser Street is one of Vancouver’s oldest, most storied roads and given its rich history, it is not surprising that the route evolved into the vibrant neighbourhood and successful business district of South Hill. We are two blocks from Fraser Street, that takes you down to a supermarket (No Frills) and Shoppers Drug Mart (5min walk). Followed by a few coffee shops and restaurants. Some local recommendations: - Pizza Carano on Fraser, 5min walk: Creative Neapolitan pizzas & antipasti are presented with beer & wine in a cozy storefront space. - Los Cuervos: 5 min drive from Fraser, bottom of Fraser Street on Kingsway: Best margaritas and tacos in town!! - Say Mercy: 10 min walk. offbeat decor preparing Italian pastas alongside American Southern fare.
