I know what you're thinking- Pizza at the beach????? Yes, yes, and yes. This is one of my favorite pizza places of all time and I do try pizza everywhere I travel. I recommend you order a fresh pie if possible because the slices in the case are obviously prepared in advance and reheated.

Three words: GET HERE EARLY. Long lines and for a good reason. I love that they have a drive thru window if you don't want to get out of the car. My personal order- Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on an English Muffin and a Butter crunch doughnut. But good luck trying to pick just one. 馃い

The food is remarkably fresh and this is another place that can accommodate my picky vegan friends that seem impossible to feed. I like to sit outside on their deck and recently I fell in love with the crispy chicken with special basil sauce. I've used them as a great take out option if I want to eat in.

Legendary old fashioned beach seafood stand. As of last season (they haven't opened for 2021 yet) the prices were still very reasonable. The fish sandwich with french fries was a steal at under $10 and possibly the best I've had in Wells. Limited seating indoors/ patio and take out window. But it's next to the beach so you can eat it there also.

This place is good if you want something a little fancy. As you can tell from my Guidebook I'm not too fancy. I absolutely love the food here and they have nice wines for pairing. And need I even mention the view?

Ok so this might be my favorite restaurant in Wells. The steaks are so amazing I have yet to order anything else on the menu. I'm a ribeye or sirloin kind of guy (yes the fatty cuts I know but so flavorful!) Do order the "house potato" it's some cheesy casserole from Heaven and I like the garden salad with house dressing. If you want an appetizer- I can barely finish an entree fyi- I have a strange obsession with their homemade beef and barley soup. So beefy and delicious. My parents get other things besides steak and they rave about all of them- so don't miss out even if steak isn't your thing.

If you're a big walker like me (or you hate looking/ paying for parking) and try to clock as many steps a day as possible it's just a bit over a mile down Drake's Island Road and there is a cross walk in front of Dollar General. It's very residential and not full of food vendors and gift shops like the other beach areas.

Food supplies, clothing items, sunscreen, personal items, toys and games, even beer & wine! Recently I needed a birthday card and voila I got one for 50 cents. I bet you can't go one day of your trip without walking over- and give yourself a time and dollar limit because I get lost browsing the aisles of bargains.
