Located on the Newport Harbor side there is a "Fun Zone". A Few places to eat and shop. there's a small Ferris wheel, a extra small old timey arcade. You can rent boats, paddle boards, Kayaks or pay for group boating tours like whale watching or sightseeing tours. Newport Flyer to Catalina is also location there and there is a fun little ferry boat that goes back and forth between the peninsula and Balboa Island that for a small fee that you can take your car, bike or just walk on to.

Main beach, Main Street has great casual restaurants, bars, shopping, Pacific City is 2 blocks from Main Street on PCH and is 2 level small outdoor "mall" with shops and upscale restaurants. On Tuesdays, Main st hosts "Surf City Nights". and offers shopping, street vendors, live music and entertainment and a farmers market.

Pricey, but worth it for the location and atmosphere. Right on the beach in a private cove with really good food. Reservations recommended.
