Dragør is only 12 km from the centre of Copenhagen, but its location on the south-east coast of Amager, south of the airport, means that it hasn't been incorporated into the city and has retained its character, that of a small seafaring town and fishing port. It's a very pretty old town with many well-preserved historical buildings, and plays host to a herring festival every August.
If you don't fancy a 24 km round cycle-trip the 350S bus is direct and takes about 45mins; it stops at Nørreport Station.

Fab restaurant - booking is nessecary though. DKR 375 for the "small" tasting menu (10 servings) is a bargain! Great food!

The Open Air Museum is a museum of rural architecture focusing on landscapes, buildings and people. It is not difficult to imagine yourself transported centuries back in time, strolling along the gravel roads and visiting the fully-furnished homes of the people of the past, such as the peasant, the wealthy miller, the village weaver or the inmates of the poorhouse.

Summerdancing. Popular open air dance event in Copenhagen. From June 19th to July 23rd 2017. Up to 10,000 locals participate in the free dance lessons on the outdoor dance floor, in the most popular park in Copenhagen.
Monday to Thursday at 7-8 pm. there are FREE dance lessons for beginners in Swing, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Bollywood, Afro Beat, Dancehall, Danish Folkdance etc. After the lessons, the dance continues until 10 pm. in the beautiful Danish Summer nights.
Sundays from 2-4 pm there's more dancing, family style.
Free entrance - in case of heavy rain the dance is cancelled.
