Want to see manatee - Stay when it's chilly!
The spring-fed rivers around Weeki Wachee remain a constant 72-74 degrees ALL YEAR LONG. It's for this reason, in the cooler months, from Dec-Feb, the manatees migrate from the chillier gulf to the springs, so your chances of a manatee encounter are definitely better!
At Mariposa, our Japanese Camellia tree is also at its best when it's chilly. It will be full-up with bright pink "pom-poms"! It's a sweet site when sitting in the kitchen or hanging in the back yard.
