Traveling via car can get you around the island
During the summer, driving on the seawall or 61st street are the busiest streets. If you can take an alternate route using GPS, it may save you some time.

Bring comfortable clothing and beach towels
Texas heat is known to be a different type of heat. Wearing loose comfortable clothing and a hat is recommended. Also don't forget to pack sunscreen, sunglasses, beach towels and flip-flops! House towels are not to be being taken outside of house.
