Ask a local person to show you how to get to the hiking trail to Trebisce (it starts in the hamlet Grabrova above Moscenice). An easy hour long trail will take you to an enchanted abandoned village with two ancient water mills. There is a pristine spring with cool Ucka water. Yes, it is drinkable!!!

A small, but well, stocked grocery store is located on the main square in Moscenice. During July and August, it is opened all day until 8 PM. You can get your bread, milk, drinks, and even some veggies easily.
They also carry some basic convenience items: toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, etc. And yes, you can buy your sunscreen in there.

The beach is great and has all amenities (you can rent boats, jet skies, beach umbrellas, etc.)

Since it has the longest history of tourism, Opatija has the best selection of nightlife offerings in the area. Explore its bars, cafes, and hotels, and find your favorite. I like to have a drink and eat a slice of cake on one of the terraces of Hotel Milenij.
