Lake Jocassee is a beautiful place to visit. It has clear water and multiple waterfalls. There are local boat tours available as well as kayak rentals and scuba tours. Be sure to get there early on the weekends during the summer because the park reaches capacity quickly. You'll want to pack a lunch because there isn't much around. It is one of our favorite spots in the summer and a great place to see the leaves turn colors in the fall.

Clemson University sports bring many visitors to Upstate SC. The SC Botanical Gardens off of the Clemson campus is also a nice place to visit, have a picnic, or take photos.

The Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel was originally part of a project to link the state's railways but was never completed. It is now part of Stumphouse Park, and visitors can walk the 1/4 mile path into the tunnel. Be sure to bring a flashlight! Picnic areas are available.
